Anti-Virus

Anti-virus software has always been a vital part of any PC. Even though these days they don't seem to be around as much as common spyware, it is still very important to have a good anti-virus program running on your computer. Below are some links to free-trials of the best Anti-Virus programs I have personally used myself.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus

Trial: 30-days. Cost after that: £25 per year.

Kaspersky just released Version 7 of their Anti-Virus software. It is my current choice because of its simplicity to use, and its very un-obtrusive interface. It runs in the background silently protecting your computer and only tells you when something important needs your attention.

Norton Anti-Virus

Trial: 30-days. Cost after that: £30 per year

I used Norton for a long time and it was near-perfect. It still is a very good Anti-Virus program and Symantec provide plenty of updates and support if you need it. I found it to be not quite so subtle in the way it dealt with everything, and thats the only reason I changes to Kaspersky.

AVG Anti-Virus

Cost: FREE

Most free things suck, but AVG Anti-Virus is actually pretty good. If you don't wanna pay for your anti-virus software, then this is your choice. It won't protect you as well as Kaspersky and Norton, but it is certainly safer than having none.
